"Jesus Saves" is one of the many, many songs you play, that make us feel it! In this prophetic moment we are living, so find people like you serving God, is something that leads us to think of a communion - the communion of saints, or those who are in the Spirit, living experiences that build us ourselves, and build up the Church. Jesus, the Savior and King may continually bless you. Your sister in the Family of God, by Christ Jesus! Kaytha Your music is always what we want to hear anything and she always

Comment on Love Lifted Me by Kerry http://www.hymnpod.com/2010/03/06/love-lifted-me/comment-page-1/#comment-664 Kerry Thu, 13 Oct 2011 07:56:38 +0000 http://www.hymnpod.com/?p=959#comment-664 When I have time later I will most definitely be bringing to the awareness of my friends and family this treasured website. It it something I am sure that has been raised by many others before me, but I find myself puzzled by the fact that there seem to be no new hymns of such quality, power, and grace written anymore. While there have been some very good chorus songs written in recent years, and certainly many excellent Christian songs sung by Christian artists, nonetheless, unless I have missed them somewhere, beautifully worded hymns with equally beautiful music seem to no longer be written. The same can be said for classical music. I have listened to 'modern' classical music, operas, and for that matter 'modern' jazz, and I have yet to hear anything that comes even close to 'classic' music of the past. By the way, in one of my earlier comments I mentioned how your playing evokes thoughts of the past. Well, upon further reflection I am moved to write that there is also a timeless quality to your performance of these hymns.Perhaps then, that is what is occurring here for me, the timeless nature of the themes with which these hymns deal, and the thoughts and emotions they express. In His Name, and for His Glory, Kerry. (Australia) When I have time later I will most definitely be bringing to the awareness of my friends and family this treasured website.

Comment on Just As I Am by Kerry http://www.hymnpod.com/2009/01/29/just-as-i-am/comment-page-1/#comment-663 Kerry Thu, 13 Oct 2011 07:41:30 +0000 http://www.hymnpod.com/?p=143#comment-663 I surrendered to our Lord Jesus when we sang this hymn in church. There is something in your playing, a quality that I cannot define. For some reason, it is as if I am listening to music from another time, a richer, stronger, more faithful and alive time for the believer. Your playing evokes images in my mind of the believers of a distant time when it almost seemed that to be a follower of Christ was expected by the majority, and discovering that someone did not believe in God would shock and concern many to the core of their being. When you play, for some reason I find myself thinking of the Old West, and those documentaries you see form time to time on television, where some richly voiced narrator talks of the likes of Billy, Mary, and various other characters, who at times actors voice, reading from their letters, expressing their thoughts as if they lived again and were speaking to us across the ages. As I love those documentaries, and the sign offs such as "Captain Bill Anderson, Missouri, July 1863", it is so stirring to listen to this music. I would like to use some of your recordings for the funeral on Monday for people to sing to. I cannot think of any piano or organ player I know who could do better. With that in mind, if there are no means provided on the site for making donations - I will look later after I have finished going through all the hymns that were Dallas' favorites - please send me details for how I can send you some money, or an email address so I can send the money via PayPal. I know you are not doing this for commercial gain, but at least I can put something towards the upkeep of your site. In His Name, and for His Glory, Kerry. Comment on How Great Thou Art by Kerry http://www.hymnpod.com/2011/08/03/how-great-thou-art/comment-page-1/#comment-662 Kerry Thu, 13 Oct 2011 07:03:05 +0000 http://www.hymnpod.com/?p=1478#comment-662 Oh my, oh my, oh my. Neal is absolutely right; this is beautifully timed. When I have sung in services and concerts, this has been one of my most requested solos. I wonder now why I ever gave up 'performing'. Just listening to this deeply moving interpretation is stirring up the desire to sing once again for the glory of God. It was not until I read Neal's post that I knew who the player was. Chris, God has gifted you with a rare and most precious talent, and you have obviously done the hard work required to make the most of that talent. I ask our Father keep you playing for as long as you desire to play. In His Name and for His glory, Kerry. (Australia) Oh my, oh my, oh my. Neal is absolutely right; this is beautifully timed.
