Let Jesus Come Into Your Heart

Here’s another hymn by Leila N. Morris. There’s an interesting history about the author of this hymn.

Lyrics and Music: Leila N. Morris

If you are tired of the load of your sin,
Let Jesus come into your heart;
If you desire a new life to begin,
Let Jesus come into your heart.

Refrain:
Just now, your doubtings give o’er;
Just now, reject Him no more;
Just now, throw open the door;
Let Jesus come into your heart.

If it’s for purity now that you sigh,
Let Jesus come into your heart;
Fountains for cleansing are flowing nearby,
Let Jesus come into your heart.

If there’s a tempest your voice cannot still,
Let Jesus come into your heart;
If there’s a void this world never can fill,
Let Jesus come into your heart.

If you would join the glad songs of the blest,
Let Jesus come into your heart;
If you would enter the mansions of rest,
Let Jesus come into your heart.

    Dear Brother Tan -

    An old favorite for “alter call”. It has been a few years since I’ve last heard that hymn. Thank you.

    I do have one request – Could you provide information on what key a song is being played in? It would greatly help those of us who are musically challenged. I use your renditions for a small group of dear ladies at an assisted living facility. I have started to construct a data base of all the hymns that I’ve downloaded – Title of Hymn, First Line, Tune,Writer, Composer, number of verses, key, Performer, and Page Number in two different hymnals.

    Once again – Thank you for your work, and may God continue to bless you.

    Your English hymns are much more charming then our German. They thrill our hearts much more than you can imagine. An American hymnbook of 1908 was sent to me from Phoenix last month. It’s so amazing.
